​​​​​​​Serekaniye Displaced Persons Committee condemns Turkish attacks against people of Zerkan

Last night, the town of Zarkan and its northern, southern and western villages of Al-Hasakah Canton were subjected to intense artillery shelling by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, from their bases in the villages of Bab Al-Khair and Al-Daoudiya, which targeted the villages of "Al-Asadiya, Al-Rabiat, Mahramleh, Tal Amir, Mazra, and Tal."  Al-Ward, and the western neighborhoods of the town of Zarkan and its popular market.

 In this context, today, the Serekaniye Displacement Committee issued a written statement to the public opinion.

 It stated, "The Turkish occupation and armed groups continue their attacks on all regions of northern and eastern Syria unabated, through direct bombing, terrorist bombings, and drones on the villages of Al-Rabeyat and Al-Asadiya.”

 The statement continued, "The transfer of the victims and the injured to the hospitals of Tel Tamer - Hasaka - Qamishlo, where the pictures and scenes showed the brutality and bloodyness of the targeting, and again demonstrated the extent of the terrorism and barbarism of those gangs that receive their orders from Turkey, and this appeared on the bodies of the victims from terrible deformities as a result of the intense bombing on  The villages of Zarkan and the northern countryside of Tel Tamer, adjacent to the occupied Sere-Kaniye/Ras al-Ain area.

 The statement added, "The Zarkan district and its countryside, especially in the west of the region, witnessed the fall of dozens of shells that targeted unarmed civilians after yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, as they live in these villages belonging to the countryside of Zarkan - Tal Tamer, the original residents of the area, along with some displaced families from Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain."  and its countryside during the aggression on the area on 9/10/2019.

 The statement condemned the horrific massacre committed by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, which killed unarmed civilians, including children and the elderly, and intimidated civilians and displaced them from their villages.

 The Serekaniye Displaced Persons Committee considered this crime an extension of the crimes and massacres that were and are still being committed in Serêkaniyê and its countryside.

 At the end of its statement, the committee called on the international coalition against ISIS, led by the United States of America, to "stop these massacres immediately, and to curb the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state," these terrorist gangs, the active part of which are remnants of ISIS and al-Qaeda in those occupied areas.

 The statement also called on Russia, which "considers itself as a guarantor state in Syria", to carry out its responsibility and stop these brutal attacks and break its silence regarding the repeated violations and attacks.
