Younes: Recent Turkish attacks on Zargan aims to eradicate our people

The town of Zargan and its northern, southern and western villages of the Hasakah canton in NE, Syria were subjected last night to intense artillery shelling by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, from their bases in the villages of Bab al-Khair and al-Dawdiyah, which targeted the villages of “Al-Asadiya, Al-Rabiat, Mahramla, Tal Amir, and Mazra, and Tal Al Ward", and the western neighborhoods of the town of Zargan and its popular market.

The Turkish occupation army committed a massacre against the people of Zargan district, killing 3 civilians, in addition to wounding dozens, who were transferred to hospitals in the cities of Hasaka and Qamishlo.

The co-chair of the Executive Council of Jazira region, Talaat Younes, said in a brief statement to ANHA agency: "Once again, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries bombarded our safe areas in Zargan district in Jazira region, and 3 civilians were martyred as a result of the attack so far, in addition to wounding a number of others."

Talaat Younes stressed that the recent Turkish attack on the areas of Zargan district is a continuation of the genocidal attacks launched by the Turkish occupation army against NE, Syria. "These terrorist attacks are a continuation of the genocidal attacks that are being waged against our people," he said.

Talaat Younes pointed out that the aim of these attacks is to occupy more lands that enjoy security and stability. He denounced the silence of the guarantor countries, Russia and America, regarding the Turkish occupation attacks against the people of NE, Syria. He said: "The guarantor countries must do their duty and stop the massacres of the Turkish occupation state against our steadfast people."

Talaat Younes stressed that the people of the region will not stand idly by in the face of the massacres committed by the Turkish occupation army, and will escalate their resistance.
