Legislative Council holds its annual meeting in Deir-ez-Zor

On Tuesday, the Legislative Council in Deir-ez-Zor held its annual meeting, in which it presented the work carried out by the Council during this year, amid preparations to expand the powers of the Council next year.

The meeting, which began with a minute of silence, was attended by a number of representatives of the Legislative Council in Deir ez - Zor and a delegation from the General Council for the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

The meeting was chaired by the co-chairmanship of the Legislative Council in Deir ez-Zor, Diab Al-Jilat and Alaa Al-Ali, where the annual report of the council was read, then touched on the political situation in Syria, especially with regard to the conspiracies being hatched against north and east Syria.

The meeting discussed the mechanism of work of the Council, its work during the past year, and the difficulties encountered in the progress of work.

It was also stressed during the meeting that the elections to be held in the coming period would expand the competence of the Legislative Council to follow the work of the Executive Council in Deir ez-Zor.
