The body of the detainee and Vedat Erkmen, who was martyred on December 19 in Tekîrdag prison in mysterious circumstances, was buried, as the Turkish authorities only allowed some members of his family to attend the burial ceremony.

The ceremony was held this morning, Tuesday, in the town of Pazargikha in the Digour district in the state of Kars.

In the morning, the family had transferred the martyr's body from Istanbul to the town of Pazargikha in the Digour district of Kars, amid harassment from the Turkish authorities.

The Turkish police and soldiers cordoned off the entrance and exit of the town, and after performing the religious burial ceremonies, the body was taken to the town's cemetery, where only some family members were allowed to attend the ceremonies, while the Turkish police remained in the area after the burial ceremony.
