"The Autonomous Administration spread safety and stability in the region" The Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch

Today, the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Jazira region received Patriarch Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan Al-Kali Al-Tooba, Patriarch of the Syriac Antiochian Catholics in the world, at its headquarter in Amuda district.

Patriarch Mar Ignatius visited the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in Al Jazira region, and the churches in Amuda district of Qamishlo canton. The Patriarch was received by the co-chairman of the Executive Council : Talaat Younes, and Nazira Kuria, in addition to the co-presidency for Religions and Beliefs Affairs, Sennar Faro, and Jubeir Hatto.

During the visit, Patriarch Ignatius wished that the Syrian crisis would end as soon as possible, by saying: "We hope that the Autonomous Administration will become a symbol of intimacy and love for all components and peoples."

He stressed that "the Autonomous Administration has an important role in spreading safety and stability in the region . During our visit, we noticed a feeling of reassurance and security among all the peoples of the Autonomous Administration regions, as it responds to the wishes of all citizens and peoples."

In turn, Nazira Kuria welcomed the Patriarch and said: "Your visit supports the Autonomous Administration project, which includes all components of the Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Armenians and Assyrians, it is a real democratic project implemented on the ground by the will of all components.

As for Talaat Younes, he indicated that one of the most important goals of the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria is to consolidate security and stability in Syria. " Our goal is to serve all citizens with the existing capabilities to achieve security and stability in the region" , Younes said.
