TEV-DEM holds Baghdad and Hawler responsible for the Turkish attacks in Shengal

TEV-DEM issued a statement regarding the Turkish occupation strike on People' House in Xansor district in Shengal that reads:

Turkish occupation state targeted People' House in Xansor district, and destroyed it completely, like Al-Skeniya Hospital, through its air raids, and that less than a week after the martyrdom of Marwan Bdal, co-chair of Democratic Autonomous Administration in Shengal.

These attacks launched by Turkey in war criminals way and the repeated use of drones against the Yazidis is due to the marginalization and denial of the governments of Baghdad and Hawler, the will of Yazidis who resisted the terrorist organizations in Iraq. It was the first region liberated from terrorism in Iraq, and it was the starting point for defeating terrorism. Therefore, Turkey is always striving to complete what ISIS left and revive it again. The policy of Iraqi government and KDP and their silence about the Turkish fascist policies against the Yazidis raise our suspicions that they handed over Shengal file to Turkish occupation state, and this poses a threat to the security in Iraq and Başûr Kurdistan. Turkey want to occupy Mesopotamia, in accordance with Ottoman "Milli Charter", as its occupation of Kurdistan and Syria lands as a result of these two governments silence regarding the massacres and crimes committed by Turkish occupation state in legitimate defense areas and Shengal . "These Turkish attacks against the will of Yazidis will not stop Shengalis from defending their dignity and historical values, but rather increase their insistence on resistance. But Turkish occupation exploits international community silence, and striking the stability and security in Shengal, to create a state of anxiety and fear, and to revive ISIS terrorism".

We in TEV-DEM, call on all political and national forces in Kurdistan and federal Iraq and all human rights organizations and civil society to take a moral and humanitarian steps towards the practices of Turkish occupation state and the dangers of its policies. And we hold UN and its affiliated organizations responsible for killing and exterminating the Yazidis and leaving them without protection. We also call on our Kurdish people, to rise up against the Turkish crimes.
