Turkish colonial aspirations become clear in occupied areas

Turkish occupation state seeks to legitimise its occupation of Syrian territories via digging up trenches in some areas and installing a fence in others to garb all these areas and be included in Turkey one after another.

In this relation, sources from occupied villages on the border in Afrin told ANHA that Turkish occupation forces carry on the policy of grabbing more lands to Turkey after border fence was pushed into Syrian lands by 2 km in Bilible and Raco in Syrian territories. 

In last June Turkish occupation forces advanced more into the Syrian territory in a number of villages in Bilbile and Shera district and in the village of Ze're Turkish occupation advanced up to one km deep into Syrian lands after the mountainous range in the district was occupied and military bases were created there, to command all adjacent areas and villages and the whole border strip and to tight control over the area.

In the village of Balia, Turkish occupation forces advanced the border strip more than 315 m after cutting down hundreds of trees arbitrarily.

While in the Sherawa district, and after a concrete fence was erected to cut Sherawa villages from its periphery and to separate Afrin from Shahba Canton, beginning from Darat Izeh in Mount Simeon up to Sherawa villages in Kimar and Basleh ending up in Azaz city.  

At the onset of November local sources in Sherawa villages said Turkish occupation forces berms in occupied areas on the frontline such as the village of Birc Haydar, Kebashine and Fafertine destroying a number of house there. In Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi, ANHA correspondents monitored, within a year, Turkish occupation forces dug up trenches on all the frontline extending from Swere Kamiye and Gire Spi adjacent to the strategically important Aleppo-Hasaka highway known as the M4.

20 military bases were set up by the Turkish occupation forces and the affiliated mercenary groups in NES, more notably on the periphery of the town of Ain Issa on the M4 provided with surveillance towers and cameras and air defense radars against drones. A trench of 230 km was built adjacent to the M4 to connect all these bases under the ground of safe guarding these areas against Syrian Democratic Forces, the SDF.

On this issue, Head of Syria's Democratic Party in the Euphrates Region Ferhan Haj Issa, said ''Turkey since the onset of the Syrian crisis interfered into Syria to meet its aspirations at any rate and using every available means to grab Syrian territories and annex it to Turkey, and to annihilate all components. ''

Issa noted that Turkey seeks to give legitimacy to its occupation of Syrian lands, and to establish its presence in the region sowing sedition in the society and grabbing territories as it was done in Afrin by creating a fence to annex the area to Turkey.  

Issa went on to say digging up trenches in Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi under fake allegations are all lies and discharge into bids to cut more Syrian lands. The same scenario that was en-enacted in Hesen Kaif in Northern Kurdistan by erecting a dam and burying the historical milestones of Kurds to bury the Kurdish history and civilization and to dismember Kurds in Kurdistan, Haj Issa said noting Turkey aspires to revive the outdated Ottoman Empire.

At the end Issa laid stress on the necessity by the international community to deter Turkey from committing more crimes and breaches against the people of the region and its geography.
