KCK calls for continued struggle for leader's freedom

The Kurdistan Community Organization said that the decision of the Ministerial Council of the European Union came as a result of struggle of the Kurdish people and their friends for the physical leader freedom, and called for an escalation of legal struggle to fulfil freedom of the leader .

The joint presidency of the KCK issued a statement, regarding the decision of the Ministerial Council of the European Union, and life imprisonment penalty in Turkey which reads:

Although it came late, the EU Council of Ministers decided that life imprisonment in Turkey contravenes of the EU Criminal Code. Where Turkey responsible for clarifying changes of this punishment, which is not in line with the provisions of the law, within a year.

They gave Turkey a period of one year, that indicates that Europe itself does not abide by its laws concerning of Kurds. It has been confirmed once again that Europe, which speaks of democracy and the rule of law, suffers from shortcomings in this respect

The statement added: "For 23 years, special laws have been applied against a person. This demonstrates existence of a peerless oppression system and torture in Imrali . As the leader Abo gave the Kurdish people freedom mentality so they takes revenge on him. hence they invented a severe life sentence, which is rare in the world. That is done by Turkey which is member of the European Council.

The statement also confirmed that "the European Union is responsible for isolation regime and illegal torture in Imrali from the beginning.

CPT also confirmed 3 years ago that the isolation imposed in Imrali is torture."

The statement noted that the escalating struggle of the Kurdish people against isolation contributed to pressure on the international community

By saying: "decision of the European Union Council of Ministers, is clear that the 24th year of the international conspiracy will yield important result where freedom of Leader Abo will become a reality."

The Kurdistan Society Organization concluded by saying : "We salute all struggle forces who contributed to bringing freedom to the leader and the Kurdish people and renew the pledge to crown this struggle with the liberation of the leader, and democratization of free Kurdistan and Middle East.
