2 explosions near Global Coalition's al-Tanf base

On Sunday morning, there were two violent explosions in the area at the border triangle between Syria, Iraq and Jordan, where the Global Coalition's al-Tanf base is located, while information on the source of the explosions was conflicting as to whether they resulted from coalition military exercises or a new targeting of al-Tanf base.

Two explosions rocked the 55 area at the border triangle between Syria, Iraq and Jordan within the Syrian Badia, where, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the military base of the Global Coalition is located.

The explosions followed a coalition helicopter flight this morning in the area, followed by a first explosion in the medium-intensity zone, and a violent and severe one.

While no information has been obtained to date on the source of the explosions, whether they were the result of coalition military exercises or the firing of rockets from the base, or of a new targeting of the base.

On November 24^th, US troops stationed at al-Tanf base in the 55th zone at the border triangle between Syria, Iraq and Jordan fired four long-range missiles from inside the base in a westerly direction that fell within the influence of Iran's groups in Badia.
