​​​​​​​Sheikh Al-Aseedi calls for Turkey to be held accountable for its use of chemical weapons against Guerrillas

 Al-Aseedi's speech came in an interview conducted by our agency in the context of the escalating reactions to the Turkish occupation's use of chemical weapons in the attacks on Başûr (Southern Kurdistan) since last April.

 The spokesman for the notables and dignitaries of the city of Manbij and its countryside, Muhammad Sadiq Al-Aseedi, said, "We condemn the international silence on the attacks and crimes of the Turkish occupation state against the peoples of the region, as it has practiced the most heinous inhuman crimes and injustice. We have always witnessed the Turkish military action in the north and east of Syria to eliminate the nation's thought.  Democracy, which Erdogan’s government sees as a threat to it, because if it spreads within Turkish territory, the Turkish state will turn into a democratic nation, and this does not like it.”

 In the context of his speech, Sheikh Al-Aseedi stressed, "We, the sons of the tribes, have become aware that Turkey wants to eliminate the democratic nation's project in this region, and it does not care about the fate of the Syrian people."

 He added, "The international silence came as a result of the colonial and dictatorial countries' fear of this thought, because the Autonomous Administration calls for coexistence and against dictatorship and authoritarianism. This silence helps Erdogan in eliminating this project."

 He noted that "Erdogan's government uses chemical weapons in the mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan (the legitimate defense areas), and we have not witnessed any international movement, knowing that they are internationally prohibited weapons, and international courts punish those who use them, so why did they not act?"

 He stressed the need for the international community to impose sanctions on the Turkish state for using these weapons in its war on the mountains of Kurdistan;  Because it is a clear violation of human rights.
