Al- Dardara and its residents.. are an example of steadfastness and confrontation

The small Dardara village has witnessed almost daily attacks by Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, since the arrival of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries to the outskirts of Tel Tamer district, in October 2019.

Al-Dardara village, is located north of Tal Tamr district on the road between the two districts of Tal Tamr and Zarkan, in Al-Hasakah Canton in north and east Syria, and its inhabited by more than 500 people.

Because of its strategic location and its proximity to M4 international road between Tal Tamr district and Qamishlo city from the eastern side of the district, and its separation between Tal Tamr and Zarkan districts from the northern side, it has become a target for the Turkish occupation to displace its residents.

Since the beginning of last August, Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have escalated their attacks on the village, that caused the destruction of dozens of houses, the village's school, and the infrastructure, without caring about the presence of civilians in that village, ANHA had previously documented this in many of its reports.

The residents of al-Dardara village chose to stay, except the displacement of some whose homes were completely destroyed, so that the civilians remaining in the village faced the attacks, and unexploded missiles remnants.

The almost daily bombardment of the Turkish occupation army on the village, which ANHA reporter was able to access and document it, caused big destruction to the homes and properties of the people, and unexploded missiles remnants located among the houses.

Juma'a Nasser al-Fares, describes the situation of his village as tragic, saying: "The situation in our village is tragic, and the attacks are continuing, as the occupation and its mercenaries fire dozens of shells randomly, and there are about 100 shells that have not exploded in the middle of the inhabited village."

Juma'a added, "The village's youth transport the unexploded missiles and shells remnants from the houses, to the outskirts of the village, and collect them in the Zarkan River near the village, despite its danger, to protect their families and children".

Juma'a al-Fares indicated that the villagers were clinging to their land, and not abandon it, said: "This is our village and our homes, we will not leave it to anyone, there is nowhere to go, this is our property, and we have no other solutions, so we face everything that happens in the village".

He also indicated that they leave the village when the bombing start to safer areas, and return to their homes after bombing reduced, believing that emptying the village will lead to its occupation, calling on the concerned authorities to stop these attacks and the indiscriminate bombing of the village and the surrounding villages, to live in peace and safety.

Our reporter, wasn't able to reach the western side of the village, which has become almost completely destroyed, because of the direct targeting by the Turkish occupation army, and that side is located in front of one of the occupation bases on al-Manakh hill.
