Progressive Party condemns Qamishlo massacre, appeals for Kurdish unity

The Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party in Syria condemned the massacre committed by the Turkish occupation in the city of Qamishlo, and "appealed to the Kurdish forces and parties to overcome their differences and work to achieve Kurdish unity at this sensitive and delicate stage in the history of our Kurdish people."

This came through a statement issued by the Democratic Progressive Party in Syria, commenting on the massacre committed by the Turkish occupation in the Hilaliyah neighborhood in Qamishlo city, which led to the martyrdom of 3 people from one family, and said in the statement:

On 9/11/2021, in a residential neighborhood in the city of Qamishlo, a car carrying three people from one family was targeted by a Turkish drone, according to a statement by the Autonomous Administration Asayish, which led to the martyrdom of Youssef Gulo and two of his grandchildren.

This brutal act increases the complexities of the already complex political and security scene in the region and brings the region into a state of instability.

We in the Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party in Syria, while condemning and denouncing such practices contrary to human norms and values, appeal at the same time to the Kurdish forces and parties to overcome their differences and work to achieve the unity of the Kurdish ranks at this sensitive and delicate stage in the history of our Kurdish people.
