HDP affirms its support for Kobani on International Day of Solidarity

The Central Administration Body of the Peoples' Democratic Party issued a statement, regarding the 1st of November, the International Day of Kobani, which said:

 “Seven years have passed since the legendary resistance against the brutality of the terrorist organization ISIS/Daesh, as the people of Kobani resisted for 133 days against the brutality of this brutal organization, an unparalleled resistance and left their mark in the 21st century, and they wrote once again a history of heroism to achieve freedom, ISIS sought to impose itself through its brutality on many peoples of the world and the Middle East. Therefore, the resistance that took place prevented this thing from being achieved, where freedom triumphed over barbarism, light over darkness, and democracy over tyranny. In Kobani, the concept of ISIS and its allies was defeated, and human values ​​triumphed in Kobani.

The statement pointed out that "the international and regional powers were defeated one by one against the brutality of ISIS, and major cities such as Mosul fell in one day, but the Kurdish people won with their limited capabilities and with the support of their friends and their belief in freedom. All the lovers of freedom and equality were with the Kurdish people and the people of Kobani, and they witnessed the resistance." The historical and unparalleled against ISIS, the Kobani resistance was strengthened by the conscience of all the peoples of the world, and it grew in support and solidarity with the Kurdish and Kobani people by the whole world, from Nobel Prize laureates to academicians, from intellectuals to writers and civil society organizations, hundreds of thousands of people were invited people and the declaration of the first of November 2014 a day of support for Kobani.

On the seventh anniversary of the Kobani resistance, and as the HDP, we salute the hopes and beliefs that arose in Kobani, the victory that was achieved there, the resistance that took place there, as well as the international support, we know very well that despite the defeat of ISIS, the mentality of ISIS still operates today The war of darkness and light continues to this day. The collaborators with ISIS today want to take revenge on Kobani. They want to do what ISIS could not do, and the occupation threats to the government of the Justice and Development Party, and the quest to close our party under the pretext of our support and support for Kobani, are to achieve this intention and approach.

ISIS was defeated yesterday, and today also the forces that want to occupy Kobani will not be victorious.
