YPJ calls on the free world to support the Kobani Resistance

During a statement published on the occasion of 1 November, the General Command of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) confirmed that the Turkish occupying state continues to refuse to recognize the defeat of ISIS in Kobani.

It added: "The terrorist organization ISIS attacked the city of Kobani with a savage and unprecedented the history of humanity, hoping to reach its dirty goal of occupying Kobani; Erdogan was the father of terrorists, claiming his hopes for the collapse of Kobani, and saying, "Kobani will collapse in a moment." However, our fighters in the People's Protection Units, Women's Protection Units and internationalist fighters have responded to these attacks in a spirit of guerrilla.

The fighters fought a legendary resistance in Kobani

In its statement, the General Command of YPJ drew attention to the legendary resistance in Kobani, and said: "The fighters of the People's Protection Units (YPG) and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), led by the leaders Rivan, Ozkor, Kollhat, Hardam, Fian Beman, Zahra Banaber, and Sibel Bulut, fought a legendary struggle like no other. Every moment of war and resistance that they will sacrifice their lives for their people and that they will not allow the enemy to desecrate their sacred land."

Turkish occupation still refuses to defeat ISIS

It added, "Kobani is the city of resistance and the people yearning for freedom, and the Turkish occupation state still refuses to defeat it, so it continues its own war policies and attacks on the city of Kobani and the areas of Rojava in general, but the struggling people of Kobani are determined to stand by their fighting sons." Against all the dirty plans implemented by the Turkish occupation state to occupy their land as they did previously during the holy resistance of Kobani, the women of Mesopotamia have watered their blood into every inch of the neighborhoods and streets of Kobani, and today thousands of fighters of the People’s Protection Units and the Women’s Protection Units are following the path of those heroes, so they will not the hopes and ambitions of the occupiers in occupying our land are being realized.”

General Command of the Women's Protection Units concluded its statement by saying: "We once again congratulate all of humanity on the occasion of November 1, the International Day in Support of the Kobani Resistance, and we call on all peoples yearning for freedom that it is time to stand up to the Turkish occupation and struggle in the spirit of November 1, the International Day to Support the Kobani Resistance."
