Jihad Hassan received by Jazira Executive Council

AANES member in Hewler, Jihad Hassan was received by the co-chair of the Department of Foreign Relations, Abdul Karim Omar, and the co-chair of the Executive Council in the Jazira region, Talaat Younes, at the headquarters of the Executive Council in the Amuda district of Qamishlo canton.

The co-chair of the Executive Council of Autonomous Administration in the Jazira region, Talaat Younis, said during their reception of Jihad Hassan that since the arrest of their representative in Başûr (Southern Kurdistan) by the Kurdistan Democratic authorities, they have been striving to release him, especially after hearing about the deterioration of his health.

Talaat Yunis denounced the practices of the Kurdistan Democratic Party against their representative in Hewler, and continued: "These practices are contrary to all international and human rights laws. We had hoped that the Kurdistan Democratic Party would support our representative in Hewler and not arrest him."

For his part, the representative of AANES, Jihad Hassan, thanked the Executive Council for its official reception at its headquarters: "After my arrest for 112 days and the psychological war that I have exercised in addition to their attempts to defeat me psychologically and physically, my presence today in NE, Syria has raised my spirits, all what I have done for supporting AANES."
