​​​​​​​HPG carry out a series of qualitative operations against Turkish occupation in Zab and Avaşîn

 The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG), issued a statement on the operations of the Guerilla fighters against the Turkish occupation.

 The statement stated:

 In the framework of the revolutionary campaign of the Zagros Hawks

 On September 19, at 18:10, our forces launched an operation with heavy weapons against the occupation army in Baido Castle in the Zab region. The operation resulted in the destruction of one of the occupation sites and killing of at least one of the soldiers.

 At 09:20 on September 20, the Turkish occupation army twice bombed the Cîlo resistance square in the Zab area. After the bombing, the occupation soldiers wanted to advance towards the resistance square. At 09:40, our forces attacked the occupation soldiers with heavy weapons, as a result of the heavy strikes, the Turkish occupation army could not make any progress.

 On September 20, between 14:45 and 15:15, our forces launched an operation with heavy weapons against the occupation soldiers in Girê Suleiman Square in the Avaşîn area, and in this operation our forces succeeded in hitting the targets and successfully.

 Resistance yard and Avaşîn area

 At 20:55 on September 20, the Turkish occupation army bombed a resistance yard and left it, after this bombing the occupation soldiers wanted to move forward, the guerrilla fighters attacked the occupation soldiers through counter-operations, after the resistance of our fighters forced the occupation soldiers to withdraw to a certain level.

 On the 20th of September, between 22:30 and 23:00, four bombs were dropped on a resistance square.

 On the night of September 20, helicopters flew over the squares of Mervanos, Tabora Arban, Girê Spi, Girê Sor, Girê Soliman in the Avaşîn district.  The yards of Doula Bazna, Kartal, Stûne, Girê Shahid Rizgar, Gali Basia were bombed by helicopters, and because of the bombing, fire spread in the area and the fire is still burning.

 On September 19, around 12:30 in the Zab area, Cimko Square was bombarded with Ubis shells from border points.

 On September 20, between 18:40 and 19:30, helicopters flew over the Qashoura line in the Matina area.

 On September 20, between 14:00 and 21:00, the Turkish occupation army attacked the Qamariya Castle area, the villages of Aden, Dashish, Seraro, and the village of Hirour, which is affiliated to the Kansas Masê  district in the Amdiya area, with Ubis shells, mortar shells and warplanes.

 As a result of these continuous attacks by the Turkish occupation army directly on our civilian population, one of our civilians in the village of Hirour was seriously injured and material damage occurred in the gardens and orchards of the villagers.”
