Beshir Mela Nawaf: community ought to consolidate self-defence

Lecturer at the Rojava University Beshir Mela Nawaf indicated that the social self defence system is the sole way via which community would stand up to the Turkish occupation forces.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan says that ''any community that is not able to defend itself loses its moral and political perspectives. It either dilapidates or in the process of resistance develops itself and preserves cultural values and protects itself''.

Lately Turkish occupation state has intensified its attacks on North eastern Syrian on the Zarghan Tal Tamr, Shahb, Ain Issa and Afrin. Many observers believe that these are carried out by the okay of international powers in the region that opened the way for intense discussions on the issue of self defence and the necessity to consolidate such forces in NES.

Beshi Mela Nawaf, member of the Intellectuals Union in the Jazira Region and lecturer at the Rojava University was interviewed by ANHA on the issue under discussion.

Meshir indicated to the necessity of involvement by all peoples of North eastern Syrian in the communal self defence system against Turkish occupation forces saying '' history of the Turkish occupation state is full of annihilations on this we should know well what the Turkish state had done and all means adopted''. ''the aim is to liquidate the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and all gains made in Rojava Revolution''.

Beshir brought into mind the genocidal attacks in 1990 '' todays are more dangerous and grave they are not limited to NES rather extend to the whole Kurdistan. Rojava affects all Kurdistan future. All Middle eastern people ought to play their part in Rojava communal self defence''.

Beshir also indicated that the Turkish occupation state adopts a dirty propaganda against the peoples to which we all ought to be vigilant and approach such provocations in a very wise way indicating as well that the self defence at the beginning of the Rojava Revolution was put into action in Sere Kaniye and up to Sheikh Maqsud '' when the mercenaries attacked Sere Kaniye people showed really resistance the same was applied in Aleppo and Sheikh Maqsud. The Kurdish people was not then so strong there were issues related to weapons and ammunition to which people reacted monetarily and morally to give their quarters. Today people defend their quarters and the importance of this necessity should be well known by our people to bear responsibility, he said calling on the people to get the lessons from barbarity put into action by the Turkish state in Afrin, Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi all under Turkish and mercenary group occupations.
