Girê Spî's populated villages been shelled 60 times during August

The field commander of the Girê Spî Military Council, Daniel Kobani, said that the Turkish occupation state bombed the populated villages in the western Girê Spî countryside with various types of heavy weapons more than 60 times, during August.

The villages most exposed to bombardment were the villages of the western countryside of Girê Spî canton, “Frayan, Al-Sawwan, Al-Arida, Salibi, Qazali, Sami’ Qazali, Koberlak, Bir Ketek, Masreha, Avedko, Khirbet Baqr and Mabuja” and other villages located on the lines of contact with the Turkish occupation.

In addition, the field commander of the Girê Spi Military Council, Daniel Kobani on the front lines in the western countryside of Girê Spî, confirmed that the villages that were mentioned more than 60 times were bombed with heavy weapons during this month, and said: “We, the Girê Spî Military Council on the lines of contact with the Turkish occupation, and we are using our legitimate right to defend our borders and our people.

The field commander spoke of Turkey's violation of the terms of the cease-fire agreement and the intensification of its attacks on civilians, indicating that it aims to empty the villages of their residents and expand the areas it occupies.

Daniel Kobani indicated that they are committed to the terms of the treaty that was signed with the Turkish side and are using their legitimate right to defend their borders, and that the people of those villages that are bombed almost daily are resisting rockets and cannons and morally support the Military Council with all capabilities, and refuse to abandon their land and villages.

The Turkish occupation’s attacks on the villages of the countryside of Girê Spi canon, located on the contact lines with the occupied areas, continue almost daily, in addition to the increase in the establishment of military bases on the contact lines and the international road, and the recruitment of heavy weapons to those bases that are provided with a system of radars and surveillance cameras.
