ANHA monitors in Al-Dardara the extent of damage caused by Turkish occupation shelling

Today, our agency's camera visited the village of Al-Dardara, located north of Tel Tamr district on the road to Zarkan district, at a distance of 4 km, to monitor the conditions of that village after it was subjected to almost daily shelling by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in the past days.

Our camera discovered that most of the houses of the villagers were bombed and destroyed, in addition to the places of worship in the village.

 Through the presence of our camera within the village, it met with a number of villagers to express their situation as a result of the daily shelling they are exposed to.

Suleiman al-Abdullah from al-Dardara village referred to our agency, saying, "For nearly twenty days, the village has witnessed daily shelling by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. To protect our lives, we leave our homes during the bombing, and when subsides, we return to our homes."

 "There is great destruction in the village, as the occupation targeted the village mosque as well, and the village was filled with shrapnel," he added.

 In his speech, Al-Abdullah noted, "We are in our houses, we will not be displaced from our village."

 If we were present in the village, there would be a massacre of its residents

For her part, Fikriya Ismail, recounted some details of the recent shelling of her village, saying: "Yesterday, the village was ahelled violently with more than 40 missiles. We thank God that we were outside the village. A massacre would have occurred against the residents of the village.

And she added, "We leave our homes in the evening hours and return to them during the day, because of our adherence to our land and our homes, because we only rest in our homes, and we are determined that we will not leave our village and our land."

She noted that when rockets fall on the village, she does not discriminate between anyone, and said: "A few days ago, a young man and woman were injured as a result of indiscriminate shells."

 She confirmed, "Our pain is so difficult that we no longer know how our day is going, we are wishing for death to rest a little from our reality."

She concluded her speech by responding to the rumors that the village of Al-Dardara is empty of residents by saying, "The village of Al-Dardara, despite what happened to it and the attacks it witnesses, has not been emptied of its residents. We are the owners of the land and we will die on our land."
