​​​​​​​ Celebration in Kobani on 38th anniversary of August 15 leap

 Hundreds of residents of Kobani canton, members of institutions and representatives of the Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates region participated in the celebration.

 Before the celebration, the participants stood a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs’ souls, followed by a speech by the Joint Vice-President of the Kobani District Council, Farhan Kobani, who welcomed the attendees and blessed the 38th anniversary of all the Kurdish people, leader Abdullah Ocalan and the families of the martyrs and guerrillas.

Kobani pointed out that before August 15, the Turkish state thought that it had exterminated the Kurds, but the resistance of the martyr Agid in the mountains of Kurdistan proved that the Kurds are still resisting the Turkish fascism.

 Farhan said that "the August 15 leap opened a new door to the struggle for the Kurdish people, and achieved many successes and victories."

He added, "The Turkish state is now attacking the guerrillas with all heavy weapons, but the guerrillas have resisted, and the victory will be on their side and Gara has won, and the victory over ISIS in Kobani was the victory of the guerrilla in the spirit of August 15, which is the dispersal of the resistance and struggle offered by Apo so far."

 He added that the guerrillas defeating the enemy there with their strong, solid will, and said that "the Turkish state is now seeking help from the Kurdish traitors to support them."

He noted that the Kurdish people everywhere, should know that the Turkish state, after every defeat, tends to commit massacres against the Kurds in Kurdistanwide.

 At the end of his speech, Kobani said, "Our people must struggle against Turkish fascism to liberate the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, and they will face a lot in their struggle, but they will eventually win against fascism and occupation in the spirit of August 15."

He denounced the international silence and the silence of CPT against Turkish fascism and the violations it is committing against the Kurds, pointing out that these organizations must abide by their duties towards the Kurds.

 This was followed by a speech by the co-chair of the Youth and Sports Authority, Khunav Khalil, who said, "August 15 is the day of the revival of the Kurdish people After the military campaign launched by the martyr Agid against the occupation, the Kurdish people were able to highlight many victories."

 Khalil said that "the Turkish state today is trying to break the will of the Kurdish people by attacking the guerrillas with the aim of erasing the August 15 leap and attacking the youth through special war to keep them away from the path of the revolution."

She continued, "The attacks that affect all regions of Kurdistan, the special war and the severe isolation are aimed at quelling the Kurdish revolution."

 She emphasized the continuation of the struggle and appealed to the women and youth to raise the pace of the struggle to liberate the leader Abdullah Ocalan and make the democratic nation project a success, and stressed that no matter how the enemy tries to escalate its attacks on the Kurdish people, the Kurdish people will struggle against them that victory will be the ally of the Kurdish people against Turkish fascism.

 The celebration included a performance by the artist, Delyar of the Golden Crescent, followed by a performance by the Bhutan band, affiliated with the Baki Khado Center for Culture and Art in Kobani, and then singer Danesh Bhutan presented a singing show in front of the audience.

 And it concluded with the presentation of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement by displaying the Mashael procession in Martyr Akeed Square.
