Zaki Akil: 15th August leap is an intellectual uprising

In conjunction with the 37th anniversary of the August 15 Leap, writer Zaki Akil spoke with the Turkish department of ANHA agency, about the intellectual and strategic dimensions of this jump and its impact on the future of the Kurdish people's cause.

Akil noted that 15 August leap is a very different step from the other Kurdish revolutions in various ways, ideological, political, pioneering, cultural and social, and it is the beginning.

He also said in the context of the topic: "The Turkish state said it was able to crush the Kurds and eliminate them once and for all, but when the possibility of a resurgence emerged, a state of emergency was declared, and a massacre and military coup were perpetrated. In the face of this situation, there has been real resistance in Amed prison. As a result, leader Abo came out of the country. The Kurdistan Worker's Party, PKK is different from the rest, the uprising has evolved, or we might call it organization, in large areas and not in one region, leader Abo walked out of the country and from there organized the movement, so the Turkish state tried to eliminate the organization from inside the prisons, but resistance escalated in the prisons as well. "

He also added: "In fact, the great Guerilla war has emerged in prisons, which have become an accounting field. They tried to destroy the movement and force its surrender, but they suffered harsh blow at the hands of vanguards, Mazloum, Kamel , Khairy and others."

And if we want to consider 15th August leap is the beginning of the armed struggle, the writer said that" Absolutely, it is intellectual revolution, reflection and practical implement of thought, it was expressed by weapons due to all the doors were closed in front of the discussion, dialogue and writing, in which the voice was not resonance, the firing of weapons was, in fact, an expression of thought and the cause itself. In this way, the voice was conveyed to humanity. It is not enough to read the topic from a military point of view only.
