Çiya Kurd: Occupied territories are a priority, Kurdish community in Europe has important role in support

This came in a public symposium organized by the Democratic Union Party in the Germany's Essen, attended by a number of members of the Kurdish community, as well as representatives of Kurdish parties and organizations. In order to talk about the latest developments at all political, military and administrative levels in north and east Syria.

Çiya Kurd began his speech by reviewing the overall political and field developments in the north and east of Syria and throughout Syria, stressing the need to preserve the gains made by the Autonomous Administration thanks to the struggle and sacrifices of the people of the region from all components.

He alluded to the dangers that the occupying power poses to the democratic project of Autonomous Administration and to all the peoples of the region.

In his speech, he pointed to the intersection of international and regional interests in Syria as well as the self-administrated areas, recalling international agreements that targeted the Kurdish people in the course of the history especially the Lausanne Agreement, saying: "The Lausanne Agreement was a direct cause of the deterioration of the situation in the region. Today's situation is only one of the results of Turkey pursuing by all means to make new agreements that consolidate the occupation, create chaos for occupying more areas through proxy's terrorist groups such as ISIS and Al-Nusra organizations, which it deploys in the region wide.

He touched on the importance of the Kurdish community in European countries in general and Germany in particular in supporting the Autonomous Administration NES project, calling on the community to make more efforts to convey the voice of our people to the international public opinion, especially in their resistance to the Turkish occupation forces and the mercenaries of terrorist factions in Afrin, Serêkaniyê, and the rest of the occupied cities in northern Syria.
