Mohammed Hannan confirms resistance in Tal Rif'at against occupiers unremitting   

On a near daily basis, Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries carry out intensive attacks and bombings on Shahba Canton, which is under a severe siege imposed by Damascus Government and the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries.

For several days, the Turkish occupation army has been targeting villages and Shahba Canton's district, which houses hundreds of thousands of Afrinian IDPs.

ANHA held an interview with co-chair of Tal –Rifa't District Council, Mohammed Hannan, who talked about the situation in the city and policies that practiced by Turkey and its gangs and Damascus Government amidst the Russian silence in the area.

Mohammad Hannan said: "After our children were orphaned and forcibly displaced by the Turkish aggression and its mercenaries three and a half years ago, we stayed in the semi-destroyed houses and camps as a base to continue our resistance and liberate our city."

Hannan continued his speech by saying: “A few days ago, Turkish UAVs targeted the 7th Council, wounding 5 citizens of Afrin, including a child did not under 5, fear has spread among the people due to indiscriminate shelling by Turkish occupation and its gangs, who are stationed in Mara' city, targeting Tal Rifa't and Sheikh Issa village with hundreds of shells.

Hannan went on to say:" Everyone knows that Russia entered Syria in 2015 under the pretext of protecting the Syrian people and as guarantor party, Russia and the Syrian regime, despite their presence in Shahba canton and their establishment of many military points and headquarters in the canton, however, especially Russia, turns a blind eye to the barbaric bombing against the canton, with aiming of maintaining its interests with Turkey.

Hannan spoke about the severe siege imposed by the Damascus Government since the displacement of Afrin people, and its failure to allow the passage of medical and living supplies and fuel materials of all kinds, including diesel, unless huge sums of money amounting to eight million Syrian pounds were paid for each tanker entering the canton.

Mohammad Hannan also referred to the policy of the Damascus Government and UNICEF serving the interest of Turkey, saying: “Beside all the difficulties imposed by Damascus Government  and in addition to the barbarism of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries who target the Afrin people from time to time with missiles and rockets, UNICEF cut off the drinking water of the  Afrin displaced under two pretexts, the first of which is their inability, as an international organization, to bear the cost of delivering water to the region, and the other pretext was the expiration of the contract period under which it was supplying the region with drinking water.

Mohammad Hannan concluded : "These forces present in the region and Turkey with them unite when the goal is to thwart the resistance of the people of Afrin, and they plan to intimidate and starve the people day and night to serve their purpose."
