42 Days on as abducted Rojava Reps to S. Kurdistan remain unaccounted for  

Jihad Hesen, representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria to Hewler, and Mustafa Khalil and Mustafa Aziz both members of Relations of the Democratic Union Party, the PYD, were abducted by authorities of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the PDK, on 10 June 2021 at the Erbil International Airport as they were going to receive some guests.

Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Democratic Union Party have repeatedly demanded their release, amid the KDP's silence and its failure to clarify the reasons and motives for the kidnapping.

Whose fate is still unknown

Democratic Union Party, the PYD, renewed call for the immediate release of the three Rojava diplomats dubbing the abduction as a ''target of the party itself after all bids by enemies to liquidate Kurds fell to the ground'', and ''an application of enemies' policies''. Holding in a statement afterwards authorities in Southern Kurdistan accountable for the fate of the three Rojava politicians.

From its part, since the very first day of the abduction Department of the Foreign Relations of Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria said ''these actions increase tension'', as it called on Southern Kurdistan parties '' not to drag behind Turkish projects that aim at an Intra-Kurdish fighting and derailing the unprecedented breakthrough the Kurdish issue has made''.

The case attracted wide spread dissatisfaction by people in North and East Syria at a time unity is urged to stand up to schemes hatched by the Turkish occupation state.
