100,000 Tal Tamr people deprived of  water and electricity by Turkish occupation

Turkish occupation is besieging people of north and east Syria by every possible means, including cutting off the most important components of life, especially water and electricity.

Joan Mela Ayoub, Co-chair of Tal Tamr District Council, said in an interview with ANAH that Tal Tamr district is permanently subject to massive violations by cutting water and electricity. He pointed out that the Turkish occupation, by cutting off water from the area, targets more than 100 thousand inhabitants of Tal Tamr alone, where the people now rely on well water for drinking that causes diseases for it is not drinkable. "

He added: "The region is experiencing another suffering: power outages, so that electricity is never available in the region, owing to the blocking of Turkish occupation of the water of the Euphrates River, in the light of the heat wave in the region."

He stressed that "the guarantor forces in the region do not fulfil neither their humanitarian or moral duty," adding: "The Turkish occupation attempts by all means to put pressure on the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the most important paper it uses is the Alouk Water Station."

He said that "all the active states in the region have a common consensus and coordination to put pressure on the north and east of Syria and Autonomous Administration to reach their goals and objectives."
