The participants gathered in front of the meeting hall in the western part of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, carrying pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and a banner that read, "Yes to national unity... No to treason, no to Turkish occupation." The march roamed the neighborhood's main streets all the way to the center of the eastern Sheikh Maqsoud Council, amid chants calling out Kurdish unity.

There, the participants observed a minute of silence, then member of the General Council of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh Qaziqli Hussein delivered a speech in which he condemned the continuous Turkish attacks on the legitimate defense areas in Başûr Kurdistan, and appealed to the Kurdish forces and parties to unite and stand against the Turkish occupation policies aimed at annihilating the Kurds.

In turn, Star Congress member Elifah Hassan gave a speech in which she said: "Since the dawn of history, the enemies of the Kurds have been seeking to exterminate them and erase their existence and culture, by occupying their land and committing massacres against them, and these policies and exterminations are the result of Kurds disperse," stressing that the interests of capitalist countries lie in the division of the Kurds.

She pointed out that the policies of the nation-states and authoritarianism aim to sow discord among the Kurds because the unity of the Kurds destroys their occupational project and threatens their capitalist policy.

In general, the words emphasized the Kurds’ need to unite and announce the Kurdish national unity to preserve the gains that have been achieved thanks to the blood of the martyrs.

The march ended with chanting slogans calling for the unity of the Kurdish ranks.
