Serekaniye displaced: We are linked to our martyrs, our revolution and insist on return

During the third axis of the Forum (We to Stay and Return), the displaced people of Serekaniye expressed their connection to their land and work to return to it, and called on the United Nations to assume its responsibilities and work hard to end the occupation.

Political analyst Serbest Nabi participated in the third axis of the forum, spoke about the difficult suffering of the displaced, and pointed to the importance of attachment to language and land.

The members of the preparatory committee (Anahita Seno, Joan Mustafa, Zahra Samu) highlighted the resistance of Serekaniye people, especially the resistance of women, and stressed the insistence of the displaced to return to their homes.

They talked about the heroic resistance of Serêkaniyê people, the martyrdom of their sons and daughters and their inability to reach their bodies, the forced displacement to al-Jazira region cities and towns and the establishment of several camps to contain them, and they touched upon the situation of displaced women in particular.

In the end, they affirmed the people's attachment to their history, revolution and martyrs, and their refusal to live with the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, and to liberate their areas from the abomination of terrorism.

They called on the United Nations to shoulder their responsibility and work hard to end the Turkish occupation of their areas, and called on the displaced to remain firm on their positions to return to their lands.

The third axis included, with interventions and discussions of the attendees, an emphasis on insisting to return to their homes and appealing to the concerned authorities to find a solution for the displaced in the camps and shelters.
