Mohammed Shaheen: KRG must not stand against Kurds' will

Co-chair of the Executive Council in the Euphrates Region, Mohammed Shaheen, said that KRG stands up against the will of the people in Rojava and has to change its policy towards them and remove the obstacles it places on diplomatic delegations while travelling, as that do not serve the interest of Kurdistan but rather of enemies.

Mohammad Shaheen commented on the abduction by Kurdistan Democratic Party(PDK) forces, which are dominant in the Kurdistan region, of AANES Representative and members of the  Democratic Union Party in Southern Kurdistan on June 10th.

In an interview carried out by ANHA Shaheen said "recently, the Kurdistan Regional Government authorities have changed their policy towards the people of Rojava and put great pressure on them, as well as placing obstacles in front of our diplomatic delegations during their travel, and all this does not serve our interests, but rather serves our enemies."

Mohammad Shaheen added, " north and east Syria has recently been under siege by Syrian  government, which is closing the crossing points in order to blockade the population economically and by the Turkish occupying state on all sides, most recently by lowering the water level of the Euphrates River. For its part, KRG is putting pressure on the area by closing crossings in north and east Syria.

Addressing KRG Mohamed Shaheen addressed his speech to KRG: "We say that the actions that you are doing are not in the interest of the Kurdish people, specifically in Rojava, who are starting to get very upset with your actions. Our region is going through a revolution today, a war of to be or not to be, all of which requires the Kurdistan Government, its parties and its people to cooperate with us to fail the conspiracies that stand against us and break this siege on Rojava."

He concluded by saying, "We say to the Kurdistan Regional Government, we are besieged, so do not aggravate this siege, but make the road easier for the people of Rojava and its delegations. This step does not serve the interests of the Kurdish people, so it must abandon these actions that it began to practice against us in the recent period."
