The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria reported that the total number of arrivals from Lebanon to the region amounted to 16,243 people. The breakdown of the numbers is as follows:

- Number of men: 5,617

- Number of women: 5,304

- Number of children: 5,289

- Number of Lebanese nationals: 33

- Number of funerals: 11

The Autonomous Administration noted that those returning either go to their homes or to relatives in the region. For those who have no place to go, shelters are allocated for them.

As part of the Autonomous Administration's efforts to ensure the return of Syrians from Lebanon to their original areas, the Autonomous Administration's representative office in Lebanon, in coordination with the Nowruz Cultural and Social Association, continuously facilitates the return of Syrians wishing to leave Lebanon for NE Syria.

The Administration’s representative office ensures that logistical and administrative procedures for refugees wishing to return are facilitated, with a commitment to providing the necessary support through the institutions of the Autonomous Administration in the region.

The military escalation between Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah has driven tens of thousands of Syrians, who were either working in Lebanon or fled there at the onset of the Syrian crisis, to return to their homeland, as the escalation has resulted in the deaths of dozens of Syrians.

From a humanitarian standpoint, the Autonomous Administration's representative office in Lebanon has taken on the responsibility of facilitating the return of Syrians wishing to go back to the region. On September 24, a committee was formed to follow up on the affairs of Syrian refugees, particularly those from NE Syria.
