Turkish soldier killed in Kurdina hill in Matina

A Turkish soldier was killed in a sniper operation carried out by Guerilla fighters in Kurdina hill of the Matina district in the Legitimate Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan.

The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement declaring that Guerilla fighters had carried out a qualitative sniping operation against the Turkish occupation army, which resulted in killing one soldier.

The text of the statement stated:

In the context of the Revolutionary Campaign of Khabur Resistance in Matina area of ​​the Legitimate Defense Zones:

At 7:30 on the 19th of June, our fighters carried out a qualitative sniper operation against the soldiers of the Turkish occupation army stationed on Kurdina hill in the Matina area, which resulted in the killing of a Turkish soldier; the Turkish occupier retrieved the soldier's body at 20:30 in the evening by Skorsky's helicopter.

On June 19, between 9:00 and 00:00, helicopters flew over the Matina area. The Turkish occupier replaced its forces with a helicopter twice near a Yazidi village, and Kiste and Zindoora areas were also bombed by helicopters.

The Avashin and Zap districts were also bombed by helicopters and warplanes, and the detailed information about these attacks is as follows:

On June 18, between 10:00 and 00:00, warplanes bombed the Warkhali area in the Avashin area. On June 19, between 2:00 and 02:30, the same area was bombed with helicopters, and a drone also flew overhead.

On June 22, at 22:15, with the support of invading helicopters, the occupiers tried to land their operatives by Skorsky's helicopters in the Suleiman Hill area in Avashin district. Our forces intervened, however forcing them to leave the area. On the same day, between 23:00 and 23:40,  Girri Sur area was bombarded with helicopters.

On June 19 at 00:50, warplanes bombed four times the Warkhali area of ​​Avashin district.

On June 19, between 22:30 and 00:00, helicopters hovered over Chilo and the Zap areas, where the Turkish occupation’s soldiers were replaced by helicopters in the hill of Martyr Sarkhabon. The area was also bombed by helicopters, which resulted in a fire in the area.
