KCK: We are avoiding the fighting of PDK

The Joint Presidency of KCK issued a statement in which it stressed that "anti-occupation and anti-PDK positions are escalating day by day. The struggle for democracy and freedom is gaining greater support from public opinion and society. For this, we salute the people who founded the initiative to protect Kurdistan.”

The statement reads as follows:

For nearly two months, violent battles have been taking place between the forces of the liberal struggle of the Kurdish Guerilla people and the Turkish occupation army, which has wanted to occupy the areas within a week, but has faced mythical resistance by Guerilla Fighters in the hills where they have been stationed. Daily, the occupying forces are subjected to severe strikes that weaken them.

At a time when the fighting between the Turkish occupation army and the Guerilla Fighters has intensified, the PDK is deploying its forces around the Guerilla Fighters and penetrating their areas, which has generated further fears and doubts among Kurdish public opinion.

HPG Commander - in - Chief, Comrade Murad Karayilan, warned of clashes between the Guerilla Forces and the PDK forces as a result of the latter's deployment to an area where it had not been present for 30 years. Despite calls from many other forces, the HPG did not withdraw its military forces but increased them, leading to further fears and doubts within Kurdish public opinion.

Attacks by the Turkish Occupying State aimed at eliminating of the Kurdistan liberation movement and the extermination of the Kurdish people. The steps of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) that serve these attacks have become the cause of the movement of the Kurdish people and their friends towards this, while the activities have started in all parts of Kurdistan and abroad. As a result, the Kurd patriots and their friends prepared themselves to go from Europe to Southern Kurdistan and to war zones to counter the Turkish occupation, prevent fighting between the PDK military forces and the Guerilla Fighters and make themselves human shields.

With this move, they wanted to respond to the feeling of the Kurdish people and democracy, and in addition to removing the fears of the Kurdish people and public opinion, they had another purpose, in this way they started with a personal attempt. This attempt was proud of every national and democracy, but it was met with a brutal and immoral attitude by the German state and the KDP.

We pay tribute to the general Kurdish people and their friends who participated in this national and democratic attempt, and we are confident that their democratic actors will play a role in curbing the Turkish occupation and preventing the fighting that the PDK wants.
