The components of Qamishlo canton indicated that the Turkish state's policies will fail thanks to the components' solidarity and co-existence, while it appealed to the Kurdistan Democratic Party to refrain from supporting the Turkish occupation, stressing that it is time to declare national unity.

Hundreds of people from "Derik, Girkê Legê, Jel Agha, Tel Koçer districts, and Barav, Koçerat affiliated to Derik district of Qamishlo canton in Al-Jazira region went out in a demonstration condemning the policy of the Turkish occupation state and the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

The families of the Guerilla martyrs who were martyred in the chemical bombardment on the legitimate defense zones also participated in it.

The people gathered in front of the garage in Derik district, heading towards the Youth Center on Korniche Street, holding pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and signs with "No to brotherhood fighting", "It is time for national unity" and "March of dignity against occupation and betrayal" written on.

As they headed to the Martyr Bawir Youth Center, they chanted slogans that saluted the Guerrillas' resistance and rejected treason, raising victory signs.

Upon their arrival at the Martyr Bawir Center, they held a minute of silence, after which Administrator at Kongra Star in Derik district, Wassfieh Morad, delivered a speech in which she denounced the Kurdistan Democratic Party's standing by the Turkish state in confronting the Guerrilla forces who are Kurds' sons and daughters.

Wassfieh noted that the Turkish occupation state also seeks to expand its areas of influence in Kurdistan using even internationally prohibited weapons to do so.

She pointed out that this is occurring amid the silence of regional and European countries, calling at the conclusion of her speech for national unity and the need to stand up to the Kurdish people's enemies.
