HPG: Turkish occupation uses poisonous gases against Guerrilla fighters

A number of the Turkish occupation army's soldiers were killed in a series of operations carried out by the People's Defense Forces (HPG) in various areas of Northern Kurdistan and the legitimate defense zones in Southern Kurdistan, while the Turkish occupation used chemical gases in Zendûra.

HPG Media Center issued a written statement in which it revealed the outcome of a series of operations carried out by their troops against the Turkish occupation army in the areas of Northern and Southern Kurdistan.

The People's Defense Forces said that their fighters carried out on the 11th of June a military operation against the Turkish occupation forces near Navyana Şêxan village in Şirnex stationed on Misto Hill to guard road construction works. The operation that took place on two axes resulted in the killing of an occupation army's soldier.

On the 9th of June, violent clashes erupted between HPG fighters and the Turkish occupation army on Zendûra Hill, and the occupation forces failed to advance towards the hill.

The statement also stated, "On the 12th of June, the Turkish occupation detonated the war tunnels, then released chemical gases in white into the tunnels, and the soldiers of the occupation army wore special white clothes and put on protective masks when they approached the tunnels. Despite all the Turkish occupation's brutal and inhuman practices, our comrades on Zendûra Hill continue to resist."

In addition, an occupation army's soldier was killed during an operation carried out by the Free Women's Unit - Star on June 12th in the surrounding of a Yazidi village.

The statement of the People's Defense Forces stated that the Turkish occupation army continues to bombard various areas in Southern Kurdistan, which resulted in inflicting damage to the residents' property.
