After three months of assuming power the U.S president Joe Biden called his Turkish counterpart Receb Tayyib Erdogan that was on the U.S. recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Ottoman Empire the move that was condemned by the Turkish president but his discourse seemed more lenient.

On Monday Biden and Erdogan are going to meet on the side-lines of the NATO meeting in Brussels. Biden once dubbed Erdogan as a despot and a tyrant.

Observers say that the U.S. Turkish relations are very tense, and that the Biden –Erdogan relations are going to be different from Trumps-Erdogan ones.

On this Nicholas A Heras, senior analyst at the NEWLINES Institute'' he relationship between Erdogan and Biden will be tense. Trump had significant financial interests in Turkey that Erdogan used as leverage on Trump. Biden and his team are not willing to sacrifice their global democracy agenda for Erdogan.

From his part, Michael Rubin is a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute believes that'' the Kurds may be discussed, but the relationship between the U.S. and Turkey is much broader. I suspect the poor state of relations will be an issue in the talks, as well as the S-400, Afghanistan, and the Eastern Mediterranean. Trump has a soft-spot for dictators. Biden is much more likely to stand up to Erdogan. That said, the danger is that, in order to improve relations more broadly, Biden will be tempted to make a compromise with regard to NE Syria, much as he has already done by cancelling permits for a US firm to partner with the local administration to develop the region's oil''.

Andrei Chuprygin, expert on Foreign Relations in Duma believes that ''the relation between Erdogan and Biden is going to be changed because Biden is much closer to the international position than of Trumps''.

According to Chuprygin, Turkey enjoys a very much high position for the United States and for NATO in the Middle East and Biden has much more experience in the international relations than Trump for this it is expected that Biden make some alterations to the relations with Turkey'', adding that nothing material would result from the Brussels meeting.
