Peshmerga's senior commander: I would never fire a shot at PKK

Mahmoud Sangawi, Member of the Executive Council of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Commander of the Peshmerga Forces in Garmian Administration spoke on the anniversary of the martyrdom of a Peshmerga fighter Hameh Sankiri.

Singawi said, "It is not possible to plunge our sons and daughters into a war to please the Turkish or Iraqi state. No party should fight another, so that our people will not be killed, and we must all go to the streets, prevent infighting, and prevent war against PKK," noting that fight at this time, and fight against PKK poses a great danger to our people."

Singawi also expressed his objection to the war, and told the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan's co-chairs that "no matter what happens, I would not fire a single shot at PKK."
