Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee calls on Baghdad, Erbil to agree on preventing Turkish incursions

On Monday, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee called on Baghdad and Erbil to agree on a mechanism to prevent Turkish incursions, and noted that it will conduct a visit to Zakho and Amadiyah to see the latest bombing.

The head of the committee, Muhammad Rida Al Haider, said in a statement to Al-Iraqiya News, that "the Turkish side established a base 15 kilometers deep in Iraqi territory towards Bashiqa," noting that "there are no understandings between Iraq and Turkey that allow it to establish military bases."

"We will visit Zakho and Amadiyah to see the latest bombing," he added, calling "Baghdad and Erbil to discuss and agree on a mechanism to prevent Turkish incursions."
