The Kurdish political parties in northeast Syria issued a statement to the public opinion regarding the Turkish attacks on the mountains of Kurdistan. The text of the statement stated:

"The brutal Turkish aggression against the Kurdistan region of Iraq continues, targeting safe villages and towns under the pretext of fighting the PKK forces. In its recent operations, the Turkish army targeted civilian-populated areas, causing many casualties among their ranks. The Turkish warplanes bombed the Makhmour camp, which also includes civilians from Turkey’s Kurds, having previously taken refuge in this camp to escape the persecution that is being practiced against them, which led to the death of a number of them, and the continuous Turkish bombing of the Qandil Mountains left martyrs in the ranks of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, and finally the Turkish bombing targeted six members of the Peshmerga forces who were martyred during the recent operations, so that the scene took a more dangerous turn, and with it became clear the Turkish endeavors to mix the cards and create strife between the siblings and push the Kurdish forces to get involved in internal confrontations that distract them from the great tasks and responsibilities at this stage in the history of the Kurdish people.

The statement continued, "Although the Kurds have been struggling for decades and making sacrifices for their legitimate national rights in a manner consistent with the privacy of the national entities to which they belong, the policies of the nationalist Turkish state insist on continuing to ignore and deny the national rights of the Kurdish people in Turkey and continue their national arrogance. Which will not bring Turkey real security and growth, but rather drain its economy, perpetuate social rifts between the peoples of the region, and also increase Turkey’s opponents and enemies around the world, just as the government of Justice and Development has become accustomed in recent years to establish its rule by fabricating foreign wars and fighting military battles in more than a regional state, but the constant battle among the core goals of Turkish policy is to fight the Kurdish national presence, whether in Northern Kurdistan, Southern Kurdistan or Northern and Eastern Syria, this presence that has become a problem for chauvinistic heads in Turkey.

The statement noted: "Because the Turkish war machine is unable to resolve the battle against the Kurds by military means, it has repeatedly resorted to internally weakening the Kurdish house by provoking internal strife and targeting the Peshmerga forces and holding the Kurdistan Workers’ Party responsible for targeting them, while we condemn and denounce the targeting of the Peshmerga forces before. The Turkish army, we offer our sincere condolences to the families of these martyrs, whose pure blood Turkey wanted to turn into a cause for a fraternal war, we also offer our condolences to the families of civilians who were targeted in Makhmour camp, as well as to the families of martyrs of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, and we also call on our brothers in the Kurdistan Democratic Party to not give opportunity to Turkish policies and not to be drawn into an internal conflict in which the Kurdish people will be the only loser, and will threaten all the national gains the Kurdish people have achieved thanks to the sacrifices of their people and the Kurdish forces. We also call on the rest of the political forces and parties in Iraqi Kurdistan to assume their responsibilities and take the initiative to address the situation in a way that serves the higher interest of the Kurdish people, and to move urgently in Kurdistan, Iraq and internationally to put an end to Turkish violations of the Kurdish m and a breach of Iraqi sovereignty.

At the end of the statement, the statement called on Kurdish political forces and parties to sit at the dialogue table, neutralize their differences and coordinate their efforts to confront the stage and its dangers. The Kurdish national presence has become seriously threatened in Iraqi Kurdistan and in North and East  Syria, and the Kurdish cities occupied by Turkey (Afrin and Serêkaniyê) are almost empty of its original inhabitants of the Kurds, which calls for a unified position towards what is being committed against the Kurdish people, and the need has become more urgent than ever to create conditions and prepare for the convening of a Kurdistan National Conference through which the stage will be evaluated and a road map is drawn to confront the systematic targeting of the Kurdish people.
