On Monday, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced the dismantling of a terrorist cell following the arrest of all its members in Kirkuk province.

The agency stated in a statement that "by following up on the sleeping cell elements of ISIS gangs and by the past 48 hours, Federal Intelligence and Investigations in the Ministry of the Interior have been able to arrest a terrorist detachment of (6) active operatives in Kirkuk province," according to the Alsumaria network.

The statement noted that "terrorists are wanted in accordance with article 4 (Terrorism) and, through investigations, admitted to engaging in terrorist operations against security forces and citizens prior to liberation operations and were then assigned to a sleeper cell in Kirkuk province."

The statement continued, "Their statements were initially and judicially recorded, and legal measures were taken against them."

In addition, the Iraqi Intelligence Agency announced that it had seized missiles intended to be launched in Kirkuk province earlier in the day.

In a statement, the agency said: "On the basis of intelligence received from Counter-Terrorism Aldabs and Alton Kuberi Police Station in Kirkuk Police, 5 Type "BM-21 "Grad" missiles and launch pads were seized, ready for launch, in the village of Ahzar, which belongs to Kuberi District, Kirkuk Province, as part of the work of the 1st Brigade, 8th Division, Iraqi, and handled by explosives experts."
