Afrin Activists Network said that it documented, during the period from 21 to 30 May, a series of crimes, violations and harassment by mercenary groups affiliated with the Turkish occupation against defenseless Kurdish civilians inside the city of Afrin.

The network's statement read:

Torture: 3 citizens were beaten and tortured by gunmen and settlers.

Kidnapping: 2 citizens.

Seizures of civilian property: 4 cases of "grape leaf season.

Burning trees: 2 locations.

Imposing royalties: 3 locations.

Demographic change: the policy of selling land throughout the occupied city.

Daily shelling on al-Shahba and Shara districts with artillery and mortar shells.

Chaos and security chaos in the areas under the control of the Turkish occupation: more than 2 explosions.

Torture: _A gunman from the so-called “military police” beat the Kurdish citizen “Amin Muhammad Hanif Sheikh Abdi (40 years), from the village of Sheikh” because of his refusal to return a water tap after he bought it from his shop selling sanitary ware in the town’s market. The Kurdish citizen had to defend himself, inflicting severe injuries on the armed aggressor, but about 20 gunmen gathered and beat him, and then he was driven to their headquarters and forced him to reconcile with the aggressor element.

Three armed men from Sham Legion on May 19, 2021, assaulted Sherif Hamid Qanbar (50 years old) and beat him with sticks while harvesting grape leaves in Gawanda (Maydan)village in Rajo district, after his wife prevented one of the shepherd settlers (who are affiliated with the militants) from grazing his herd of livestock in the middle of the vineyard and tried to drive it out.

On 17/5/2021, the settler shepherds of Al-Mawali clan (related to Sham Legion militia which is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood) attacked three Kurdish youths in the village of Altania - Rajo district, after they tried to prevent them from grazing their flocks in the village’s fields, according to Rights Organization In Afrin, the case of the abused citizens (Guevara, Aref and Mustafa) was transferred to the headquarters of the “Al-Sham Legion” militia, which forced them to give up their right under threat.

Kidnapping: On May 27, 2021, the mercenaries of "Sham Legion" of the Turkish occupation kidnapped citizens of the village of Maidan Akbis, affiliated to Rajo district in the occupied city of Afrin: Shawqi Mustafa Othman (65 years old), and Horo Ahmed (37 years old).

The two citizens were openly working with the mercenaries, as their fate is still unknown.

The seizure: Stealing grape leaves from the vineyards of the citizens, Abd al-Rahman Rashid and Hanan Rashid - from the village of Matina - located near the village of Mashaleh (Masha'la in Shara / Sharan district). The number of bushes is about 200 grape bushes.

Settlers stole the grape leaf crop from the orchard belonging to the Kurdish citizen (Muhammad Shukri - from the town of Rajo) residing in the city of Afrin, knowing that the orchard is located near the entrance to the town of Rajo in the vicinity of Rajo Prison.

Settlers from the families of the “Syrian Front” militants stole the grape leaf crop from the vineyard of the citizen (Mustafa Khalil - from the town of Maabatli), located near the village of Qantarieh.

Al-Amshat gunmen seized agricultural land in the village of Qarmitalq, which belongs to Shiah / Sheikh Al-Hadid district, owned by the Kurdish citizen "Mustafa Hassan Ibish", and he is currently residing in Turkey.

Cutting and burning trees: On Wednesday, May 26, 2021, the mercenaries of the "Samarkand Brigade" of the Turkish occupation set fire to the coniferous forests surrounding the village of Hajj Hasna, in the Shiah district / Sheikh Al-Hadid / in the countryside of the occupied city of Afrin, where the fire devoured large areas of coniferous forests in the mountain village of Hajj Hassan.

Imposing royalties: the mercenaries of "Al-Hamzat" led by the mercenary "Abdullah Halawa" imposed financial royalties of "3,000" dollars on the residents of Burj Abdalo village of Shirawa district in the occupied city of Afrin, which has a Yezidi majority.

It is worth noting that the mercenary Abdullah, the leader of the Hamzat mercenaries, committed many crimes and is known for cracking down on Kurdish civilians.

The armed men of Sultan Murad, led by the so-called Farhan, the security official in the village of Khalilak Ushaghi - Bulbul district, forced the villagers to pay 2,500 Syrian pounds for each box of grape leaves during transportation to Al-Hal market in the city of Afrin.

The security official of Ahfad al-Rasul's gunmen who control the village of Hassan Dera in Bulbul district, forced the Kurdish youth to harvest crops for free, and whoever refuses to work will be severely beaten or accused of dealing with the previous administration.

The demographic change: the Turkish occupation supported some Arab and Kurdish brokers in the occupied city of Afrin by the necessity of selling their properties to the displaced people of Afrin outside the occupied city.

The Turkish occupation instructed the brokers to obtain the property of everyone who is outside the occupied city in any way, and under the threat of the owners of those properties, and in both cases these properties will be seized, as a number of the displaced people of Afrin in several areas in al-Shahba, Aleppo and some European countries said that they had received calls from their relatives who are inside the occupied city and contacted the brokers who are buying these properties.

Al-Shahba events: On May 25, 2021, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries set fire to agricultural lands in the village of Basilhaya and the vicinity of the village of Soghonka in the Sherawa district in the countryside of the occupied city of Afrin, as the fires spread to large areas in the area, and they are still burning until now.Every year, the Turkish occupation army deliberately sets fire to the agricultural crops of the people of the villages adjacent to its areas of control in the districts of Shara, Sherawa and al-Shahba district.

On May 25, 2021, the Turkish occupation army shelled the vicinity of the town of Tal Rifaat and the village of Bailunia with heavy artillery, causing physical damage to civilian property.

On May 27, 2021, the Turkish occupation army shelled the lands near:

Tel Rifaat City Road, Al-Shahba District.

Burj Qass 4 shells, and Mayassa 4 shells, in Sherawa district, but there were no reports of the extent of the damage.

On 05/24-2021, a motorcycle bomb exploded in the city of Jarablus in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, which is under the control of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, as a result of which 3 civilians from the city's residents were killed.

On May 15, 2021, an explosive device planted inside a car behind the blue building on Rajo Road blew up in the center of the occupied city of Afrin resulted in a number of wounded and dead.
