Medical staff in AA receives 1st batch of Corona vaccine

The World Health Organization delivered the first batch of the Indian-made AstraZeneca Corona vaccine to the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria, and this batch was allocated to the medical staff.

In this batch, the medical personnel were vaccinated, being the most vulnerable to infection with this virus, due to their constant presence among patients.

In this context, Hawar news agency met with Zakariyya Mohammed, the Supervisor of the Vaccination Department at Al-Sha'b Hospital in Al-Hasakah city, and he said at the beginning of his speech: "The Health Body of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria has received the doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine by the World Health Organization."

Mohammed stated, "This batch is the first to reach Al-Hasakah city, and the vaccine will be in two stages, after the first dose, the second dose will be vaccinated two months after receiving the treatment."

Mohammed confirmed, "This vaccine has no side effects, and no symptoms shown on the medical staff who received the vaccine."

Zakariyya Mohammed said at the end of his speech: "In the second phase of the Corona virus vaccine, elderly people who suffer from chronic diseases will be vaccinated."
