Founding conference of "ADS held in Qamishlo

 Today, the first constituent conference of the Democratic Syrian Party was held, in order to fill the political vacuum in the national arena of the Assyrian component.

 The conference began with a minute of silence, followed by a speech by the administrator of the Democratic Union Party, Arifa Bakr, that said: “The solution to bypassing the nation-state project that tore apart society and created crises among peoples who lived in love and harmony is the project presented by the philosopher Abdullah Ocalan.  That is, the project of the democratic nation and the Autonomous Administration."

 Arifa wished at the end of her speech: "Success and move forward towards a decentralized, democratic Syria, preserving the gains of northern and eastern Syria, and working together for security and stability."

 The Secretary of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (al-Parti) Nasr al-Din Ibrahim delivered a speech on behalf of the Kurdish National Unity parties, in which he blessed the holding of the first founding conference of the Syrian Democratic Party, wishing them success side by side with the forces of the Autonomous Administration to reach a democratic and decentralized Syria.  .

 Nasreddin continued: “The occurrence of the crisis in Syria goes back to two main factors, the first goes back to the beginning of the formation of the Syrian state, as the Syrian constitution did not recognize the existence of other peoples besides their Arab brothers, as it denied and ignored other components, and followed a racist policy, as for the other one is the absence of a decentralized, pluralistic democratic system that represents the will of all the Syrian people.

 For his part, the representative of the Syriac Church in the city of Qamishlo, Khoury Shamoun, gave a speech in which he congratulated the establishment of the Syrian Democratic Party, and said: "We live together, and we will not allow anyone to separate us, because with our unity we can achieve victory."

 After completing the words, Aho Hanna, a member of the founding committee of the Syrian Democratic Party, spoke about the goals of the Syrian Democratic Party, saying: “The aim is to preserve our existence and our national identity, so that we can claim our constitutional rights and to contribute to the building of Syria.  Pluralism for all peoples in Syria, and also for there to be an official constitutional recognition of our language and culture.
