The Turkish occupation state moved the Syrian mercenaries who fought for it in Libya and Karabakh to the legitimate defense zones (Medya) in Başûr Kurdistan to fight the People's Defense Forces after the great human losses suffered by the Turkish army.

Commenting on this topic, Suleiman Hajj Ali, Member of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) in Rojava, explained that the Turkish occupation state is today repeating the methods used by the Ottomans during the occupation of the Arab countries in the occupation of Başûr Kurdistan.

Hajj pointed out that the reason for sending mercenaries to the legitimate defense zones in Başûr Kurdistan is due to "the defeats suffered by the Turkish army in the areas of Zap, Avaşîn and Metina, in addition to the killing of large numbers of its soldiers and the accompanying negative reactions inside Turkey against Erdogan's policies and his fear of their transformation to protests."

Suleiman Hajj Ali added, "Turkey is trying to achieve victory by using mercenaries to cover up its failure in Gara and Heftanin, and now in Metina, Avaşîn and Zap."

He said: "Turkish mercenaries are fighting for money and do not have any goal or national project, unlike the People's Defense Forces that have a cause, and defend the Kurdish people's rights."

Hajj Ali believed that sending mercenaries to the lands of Başûr Kurdistan poses a great danger to the future of the region, and said: "The governments of Iraq and Başûr Kurdistan must stand up against the violations of the Turkish occupation state within their territories and put an end to them," criticizing the silence of the two governments concerning Turkey’s violations within their territories.

Suleiman Hajj Ali called on the Kurdish people, all the forces and political parties in the four parts of Kurdistan, all human rights and humanitarian organizations to put an end to the crimes of the Turkish occupation and its interference in the affairs of neighboring countries in particular and the Middle East in general.

Hajj Ali concluded his speech by saying: "We in the Kurdistan National Congress raise our voice, and we call on all forces and political parties to hold a Kurdish National Conference to determine a serious and frank position towards the ongoing Turkish attacks on the Kurdish people."
