On the 23rd of last April, the Turkish occupation state began a massive attack on the Legitimate Defense Zones in Başûr Kurdistan. As a result of the human losses suffered by its forces, it turned to the use of internationally banned chemical weapons.

To reduce these losses, sources confirmed that the Turkish occupation had transferred Syrian mercenaries who fought in Libya and Armenia to Legitimate Defense Zones to fight the Guerrilla forces.

'Milli Charter'

On the goals of these attacks, the Syrian politician and coordinator of the Syrian Secular Democratic Assembly in As-Suwayda, Samir Azzam, said: “The Turkish attacks and expansion in the Kurdistan region and North Syria are to implement the Turkish Milli Charter (the rest of Turkey) as the Turk called it, and this was stated by the head of the entity, Recep Erdogan, on the eve of the battle to liberate Mosul from ISIS terrorists, and he asked America at the time to participate in the liberation of the Turkish army, since it is inhabited by Turks and according to the Turkish concept, it is considered Turkish territory, in addition to the city of Kirkuk and the entire territory of the Kurdistan region and North Syria according to the aforementioned charter.

He explained that America rejected the Turkish request, "but Erdogan did not give up and started to conclude undeclared agreements with the authorities of Erbil that led to the establishment of dozens of military bases in the territory of the region."

'Turkish preparation for the end of the Lausanne conference'

He added: "The Turkish military bases in the region and its lover in Nineveh governorate constitute a definite threat to the region and to Iraq as a whole, especially the province of Nineveh, and with the approaching end of decisions put into effect at the Lausanne conference in 2023, the Turks seek to meet this entitlement by deepening their presence in the region, Mosul and North Syria, and consolidating it, pending the resolution of my crises. The two countries and Turkey's plans are clear and announced, which are to separate and annex the areas under its control and the territories spread over it to its entity.

Azzam stressed "Turkey's success or failure in the scheme of skinning and annexation depends on the stance of the West, specifically America, France and Britain, and also on the resistance of the Kurdish fighters in Qandil and the Kurdistan region and the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces in North Syria."

‘Qandil Mountains are the biggest obstacle to Turkish plans against Iraq and Syria'

On the reasons for the focus of the Turkish attacks on the Qandil Mountains, Azzam explained that "the Qandil mountain ranges in which the Qandil Mountains are stationed and defended are the major military obstacle for Turkey to extend its control over the entire Kurdistan region and Nineveh Governorate, and for this reason Turkey launches successive military campaigns on the borders of the Qandil Mountains with the aim of controlling it as a maximum goal or encircling it as a minimum goal to paralyze the movement of the People’s Defense Forces and prevent them from spreading and military intervention to prevent the Turkish annexation plans.

'Failures and losses prompted the use of chemical weapons’

Regarding Turkey's use of chemical weapons, Azzam said: “After the failure of the two traditional military campaigns, heavy losses and the humiliating escape of Turkish soldiers from the battlefield, the Turkish Air Force bombed the fortifications of the People’s Defense Forces with chemical weapons, and this is a flagrant violation of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Production, Storage and Use of Chemical Weapons signed in 1993 and enforced in 1993 and 1997 ".

He added, "We believe that the focus of the international community on Turkey's use of chemical weapons will take shape in the future."

'Syrian mercenaries abandoned their Syria to serve Erdogan'

The Syrian politician, during his speech, touched upon Turkey's use of Syrian mercenaries in the battles against the Guerrilla, and said, "Turkey's transfer of its Syrian militants to fight the Kurdistan Labor Party in the Legitimate Defense Zones is a natural matter. These are mercenaries who have abandoned the demands of their people and their homeland Syria and recruited to serve Turkish ambitions inside Syria and in Libya, Azerbaijan, and in any country their supreme leader Recep Erdogan asks them to go to. "

Turkish danger threatens everyone.. how to confront it?

On ways to confront these Turkish plans, Azzam said: "What is required to confront and thwart the Turkish plans that threaten to separate and annex all Kurdish lands in the region and North Syria is to unify the position of the Kurdish people with all their forces and parties to confront the imminent Turkish threat."

He added: "Iraqis and Syrians of all sects are also required to unite on one position to confront the imminent Turkish threat to their lands, wealth and water."

Syrian politician Samir Azzam concluded his speech by saying, "The Turkish danger also threatens the Greeks, Armenians and Cypriots. The governments of these countries and the Kurdish political leaders in the region and northeastern Syria are supposed to work vigorously and urgently to form a coalition of common interests to confront and confront the common enemy, Turkey."
