On April 23rd, the occupying Turkish state carried out an attack on the legitimate defense zones (Zap, Avashin, and Metina), using the heaviest and internationally prohibited weapons.

In this regard, Hawar news agency held a meeting with the Member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, Amin Aliko, who touched on the fierce attacks launched by the Turkish state in the legitimate defense areas, which started in Heftanin and later in the Gara Mounts, and today in Metina, Zap and Avashin, confirming that these attacks indicate its impotence as a result of the defeats it witnessed in Rojava and Başûr Kurdistan.

'"The policies of extermination is ongoing

Aliko pointed to the timing of the attack on the legitimate defense zones on the anniversary of the Armenian massacre, "It was not a coincidence, as the Turkish state is following the Ottomans' approach, and the Ottoman policies practiced today by the Justice and Development Party led by Erdogan are to eliminate the Kurdish people wherever they are, and the attacks do not only target Rojava and defense zones, rather, it will extend to inside Iraq, from Şengal to Kirkuk and Mosul."

He continued his speech saying, "Erdogan, through his fascist policies of exploiting religion mostly and the people's emotions, always seek to implement the Millî Pact project in the region."

He stressed the need to be aware of the seriousness of the Millî Pact draft."

He highlighted the internal and external crises of the Justice and Development Party, "it is facing economic, political and social crises at home and the ruling party is on the way to perishing. It also has problems with Cyprus, Greece and Armenia."

'Silence about attacks is a green light for Turkey'

Aliko called on the administration of Southern Kurdistan to be aware of "the danger of the Justice and Development Party in the region, and its goal to end any Kurdish project, entity or party."

He continued, "Turkey seeks to strike the unity of the Kurdish ranks by following the policy of (divide and rule).

He criticized the silence of the international community towards the Turkish attacks and considered them a green light for Turkey to continue its attacks.
