A number of Arab politicians and educators from Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Libya and Lebanon issued a joint statement on May 3th regarding the attacks being launched on Southern Kurdistan.

Arab politicians and intellectuals called on the Arab League to hold an urgent meeting concerning the Turkish occupation army's attacks against Southern Kurdistan, among them is the Lebanese juristic and political activist Hamo Moskvian who stated to our agency that the main goal of the statement is to induce Arab countries to stand up to the Turkish occupation state, which threatens the security of the countries of the region, especially the Arab countries.

'Turkey is ruled by a weak leadership'

Hamo Moskvian said: "Unfortunately today, Turkey is governed by a weak and unrealistic leadership that does not see that we live in the twenty-first century, and that it can, through religious extremist groups or leaders, especially the Muslim Brotherhood and the thuggish ISIS mentality, control not only Arab countries, but also states of Central Asia and Aghur, with the objective of creating a state with an Islamic cloak and with a Turkish Ottoman character and imprint.

Moskvian said, "Erdogan, who claims to protect Turkish security, is not Turkish, but he is Georgian who has turkificated himself like the rest of the leaders that governed Turkey, so that he commits the most heinous crimes against the rest of the components in the region."

Moskvian pointed out that Turkey wants to control the wealth of Arab countries, and said: "Some Western and regional powers, such as Russia and America, used Turkey to threaten and intimidate Arab countries and peoples to implement their plans through Erdogan, who is now out of control." He noted that there are international and regional parties financing Erdogan, including some Gulf States, such as Qatar, Azerbaijan, and some Central Asian countries."

'A Turkish scheme to occupy other areas'

Hamo Moskvian noted that Erdogan, who does not respect international laws and covenants, is now planning to occupy more areas in the Middle East under the pretext that they are part of the Ottoman Empire. He said, "Erdogan is brazenly launching attacks on north and east Syria, Southern Kurdistan now, and is directly intervening in Libya."

Hamo Moskvian expressed his regret at the cooperation of some Arab countries, such as Qatar and some personalities whom he described as "ISIS" from Syria, Lebanon and Iraq with Erdogan in occupying the lands of neighboring countries.

Moskvian explained that over the past years, the Turkish occupation state has committed the gravest crimes against the peoples of the region, including Armenians, Syriacs, Arabs, Kurds and Yazidis in Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Southern Kurdistan, amid complete silence by European countries.

Moskvian pointed out that the Arab countries also remained silent about the Turkish massacres and violations, and the only country that stood against Turkey is Egypt, and said: "That is why Erdogan announces from time to time that he will develop economic relations with Egypt."

'There is a real Turkish danger threatening the region and the Arab countries'

Hamo Moskvian indicated that there is a real Turkish threat against the region and the Arab countries, and what is required now form the Arab countries is to unify ranks to restrain Turkey, which is occupying several areas in Syria and Iraq and turkificating them, as is happening now in Azaz, Jarablus and Afrin, and said: "The recent attacks on Başûr are to annex the Kurdistan Region to Turkey."

Hamo Moskvian stressed the need for Arab countries to join their ranks, and said: "I am not surprised that Erdogan participated in bringing about coup d'états within the Arab countries to overthrow the regime."
