On World Press Freedom Day ... SDF commemorates media professionals' sacrifices in north-east Syria

On the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day, the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) recalled all the military media professionals, and the rest of the media outlets who sacrificed themselves in order to report the course of the battles against ISIS, and Turkey's attacks on north-east Syria, in addition to providing assistance to the press delegations.

This came through a statement issued by the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day, and said in the statement:

"On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, we take the opportunity on World Press Freedom Day to remind the world of the sacrifices made by the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces, the People's Protection Units (YPG), the Women Protection Units (YPJ) and other media outlets in order to reach the truth, convey the course of the battle against ISIS and the attacks of Turkey and its gunmen on the safe areas in north and east Syria to the public opinion.

Military media personnel who provided assistance to all press delegations to complete their journalistic duties in our areas had an effective role in affirming the right to access information in the most dangerous areas of conflict against ISIS in Syria.
