After Kobani, Manbij... Reduction of electricity feeding hours in Jazira region

On Thursday, the office released its Facebook page, informing the people of Jazira to reduce the number of hours of electricity to 8 hours and to allocate it to service lines and mills.

The text of the note states: "Over the past six months, the Turkish State has deliberately cut off the waters of the Euphrates River almost completely. This has led to the lower levels of Tishren and Tabqa dams, which have reduced to 5 vertical meters and this has forced us to reduce the number of turbine in the dam because of inadequate water, taking into consideration drinking water filtration plants."

The Office added: "Therefore, we are sorry that only one turbine will be operated for eight hours from 16:00 to 24:00 at night and will be distributed to all areas in northern and eastern Syria. That is, it will only be for service lines like water and mills.

As it stands, the Swediyah generation facility will be the only source of compensation for this lack of electricity.

It is reported that yesterday, the Energy Body in the Euphrates region announced a reduction in electricity feed hours for the city of Kobani from Thursday, for the same reason, while the same procedure has also been adopted in Manbij since yesterday.

It should be noted that since 27 January, the Turkish Occupying State began to hold large quantities of the waters of the Euphrates River, allowing only 200 cubic meters per second to flow into Syrian territory out of a total of 500 cubic meters, resulting in a significant decline in the river's stream and level.
