Tal Tamer Council: Turkish occupation, mercenaries’ attacks against civilians continue

The occupation and its so-called "Syrian National Army” mercenaries, target the people of the region in different ways and methods, the most important of which is cutting off the water and electricity: they   have targeted electricity lines in the villages connecting between Tal Tamer and Zarkan districts of Hasakah canton.

On the 24th of April, the western villages in Tal Tamer district and its southwest were under violent shelling with heavy artillery and mortar shells, which caused power cuts to a number of villages located on the front lines in the district.

'Instability'

Citizen Kamal Abdul Qadir Sheikhmous, spoke to ANHA and said, "The region and its residents have witnessed a state of instability since the Turkish occupation reached its outskirts, as a result of the continuous crimes and violations it commits."

He added, "During this blessed month, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries targeted the villages adjacent to Tal Tamer, in addition to depriving more than one and a half million civilians of water," calling on human rights sponsors to stand in the face of the crimes of the Turkish occupation and stop them.

For his part, the co-chair of the Tal Tamer District Council, Joan Mulla Ayoub, said at the beginning of his speech to our agency: “Since the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries began their attacks on the regions of North and East Syria and reached the outskirts of Tal Tamer district, the district, up to Zarkan district, has become a line of contact with the occupation and its mercenaries, who occupied more than 20 villages belonging to Tal Tamer. "

'Continuing crimes'

He added: "The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are continuing their attacks and targeting civilians since they entered the region, as the shelling has become almost permanent, not to mention cutting water and electricity, targeting civilians' livelihoods and burning their crops, as we witnessed the past year."

'Special war'

Mulla Ayoub pointed out that "the occupation and its mercenaries are trying by various means to target civilians through methods that fall under the special war, in order to incite them against the Autonomous Administration, in an effort to undermine and thwart it."

'Support of the international community'

At the end of his speech, Mulla Ayoub called on the international community to break its silence about the crimes the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries committed, and said: “We witnessed during their attack on the region their use of internationally prohibited weapons and NATO weapons, and the silence of the international community about these crimes confirms it backs the occupation state.”
