Mulla Omar: Başûr Kurdistan must prevent Turkish attacks

The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Communist Party Najm al-Din Mulla Omar criticized the silence of the governments of Baghdad and Başûr Kurdistan over Turkey's violations and ongoing attacks on legitimate defense areas, calling on the Başûr Government to put an end to Turkey's attacks and violations.

On Saturday morning, the Turkish occupation army launched an air and ground attack on the Zab area of the legitimate defense areas, following heavy bombing by its warplanes on Avaşîn area of Başûr Kurdistan in conjunction with a ground invasion.

The General Secretary of the Kurdistan Communist Party Najm al-Din Mulla Omar commented: "It has been known since time immemorial that chauvinistic States pursue policies based on violence, murder, and the stirring up of wars and conflicts, such as the Turkish regime, which does not accept the idea of peace and democracy and for which the HPG is a slogan for the process of life."

Mulla Omar added: "This is not the first time that the Turkish regime has targeted areas where the HPG exists."

According to Mulla Omar, the Turkish occupation, through its attacks, sought to achieve its expansionist objectives based on fascist reactionary mindset.

He criticized the silence of the Governments of Baghdad and Başûr Kurdistan over the violations of the Turkish occupation and its continued attacks on the legitimate defense areas of Başûr Kurdistan: "The continued targeting of legitimate defense areas by the Turkish occupation comes with the implicit consent of the Government of Baghdad. The Government of Baghdad does not want the Kurds to gain their rights and status."

Mulla Omar demanded that the Government of Başûr Kurdistan take a stand against Turkey's ongoing violations and attacks in legitimate defense areas. He said: "Turkey's violations will cast a negative shadow on the Government of Başûr Kurdistan as well, socially, economically and politically. It must be aware well, Turkey is an enemy State and not a friend. It must shoulder its responsibilities and put an end to Turkey's ongoing attacks on Başûr Kurdistan."

Najm al-Din Mulla Omar concluded by calling on Kurdish forces that advocate for democracy, fight for peace and gain their rights to prepare and join hands to deter occupation and violations, referring to the role of politicians in all Kurdistan and calling on them to prefer Kurdish interest and the cause of Kurdistan over narrow partisan interest, and don't relent with the events around them. They must remain active at the table and support their forces."
