Young man from Raqqa killed by Turkish Gendarmerie

It turned out that the Turkish Gendarmerie arrested the young man while trying to cross into Turkish territory from the occupied city of Tel Abyad on the 17^th of April, and it became clear that the young man lost his life after being subjected to the most horrific types of beatings that are far less humane as described by the Observatory.

According to the forensic doctor in the occupied city of Tel Abyad, the cause of death was that the young man was severely beaten with a sharp object on the head, while the effects of beatings were clearly visible on the body.

On April 20^th, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the martyrdom of a young man from the village of Bzabour in Jabal Al-Zawiya, having been shot by Turkish border guards, while trying to cross into Turkey from the Idlib countryside.

On September 19^th, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the martyrdom of a young man from Al-Bab area, as a result of being shot by the Turkish border guards "Gendarmerie," while trying to enter Turkish territory from the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Thus, the number of civilians killed by Turkish border guards while trying to cross into Turkey in Idlib, Al-Hasakah, Aleppo and Raqqa rose to 10, including 3 children, since the beginning of the current year 2021.

According to the documentation of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the number of Syrian civilians who have been martyred by the "Gendarmerie" forces since the start of the Syrian revolution has reached 470 civilians, including 86 children under the age of 18, and 44 citizen women over the age of 18.
